Privacy Policy
Antarim Tutor is a product of antarim.tech ("we", "us"). It connects students and parents with home tutors. This policy explains what information the Antarim Tutor app and its service collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We only collect what you give us while using the app.
- Account details: your first, middle and last name, username and password (stored only as a secure hash), and optionally your email address. A phone number is required for tutors and optional for students.
- Profile: a profile photo and bio, if you add them.
- Tutor details: years of teaching experience, work history (institution, position, dates, description) and the documents tutors upload for verification, such as identity documents, their numbers, and certificates.
- Tuition requests: the subject details, preferred dates, mode of teaching and location you enter when requesting a tutor.
- Addresses: addresses you save, along with the map coordinates of the place you pick from the address search.
- Messages: chat messages you exchange with students or tutors in the app.
- Reviews: ratings and reviews you write about tutors.
- Technical data: like most online services, our servers record basic request information (such as IP address and time of request) to keep the service running and secure.
We do not access your device's GPS location, contacts, camera roll (other than a file you choose to upload), or microphone. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To match students with tutors, and to handle tuition requests, chat and reviews.
- To verify tutors before they are marked as verified.
- To answer your support requests and keep the service safe from abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- Other users: a tutor's public profile (name, photo, bio, experience and reviews) is visible to students. A tuition request, including its location, is shared with the tutor you send it to. Messages are visible to the people in that conversation.
- Our team: verification documents are seen only by the staff who review them. They are never shown to other users.
- Service providers: we use providers to run the service, such as our hosting provider, and Google Places, which receives the text you type into the address search so it can suggest places. They process data only on our behalf.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
How we protect it
All data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as hashes, and the app keeps your sign-in tokens in your device's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit who can access it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we must keep some of it to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your Antarim Tutor account from inside the app: open your account page and tap Delete account. If your account has a password you will be asked for it. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone. It removes your account, profile, tutor profile, tuition requests, addresses, conversations and messages, reviews, notifications, verification requests and uploaded photos and documents.
If you can no longer sign in, email hometution@antarim.tech with the subject "Delete my account". Include your username, and either send it from the email address on your account or tell us the phone number on it, so we can confirm it's you. We will delete the same data within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Your choices and rights
You can see and edit most of your details in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hometution@antarim.tech.
Children
Antarim Tutor accounts are meant for adults: parents or guardians and tutors. Students under 18 should use the service through a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and let you know in the app if the changes are significant.
